Molloy Hideaway Holiday Park
Ahhh, this is a place to kick back and relax. Nestled on the mainland side of the Blackwood River (not on Molloy Island), this family-friendly holiday park is out of town and away from all the hustle and bustle. Here you can pack the esky, launch the boat and go in search of the big one! Or you can just chill and immerse yourself in the latest bestseller. There’s lots of fun stuff for the kids (and the big kids) like paddle boarding, canoeing or kayaking, water-skiing and go-karts.
Or you can take a 15km trip into town to climb the historic Leeuwin Lighthouse, go underground in a cave or board a tour boat to spot those monsters of the deep, the Humpback and Southern Right whales (see Adventures). And when the day is done, grab a coldie and park yourself around the campfire or barbecue with your mates. Just don’t let the ‘roos steal your snags!
Park Info

It has sweeping views of the Blackwood River, a private boat ramp and is home to a variety of native animals including kangaroos, pelicans, parrots, geese and ducks … and some humans!
Pets are not invited to holiday at Molloy because of the wildlife.

Great place to stay, very peaceful, right on the river and lots of wildlife wandering around. Very clean toilet/showers and lovely welcome when we arrived. Would definitely recommend staying at Molloy Hideaway.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the June long weekend. What a beautiful find this was. We had a huge powered site. Our kids loved this bush camp. There was a train ride for the kids in the morning and afternoon. The resident kangaroos were wonderful … all hand fed and very friendly. Shower block was clean. Highly rate this park.

We love this place. Friendly roos and many birds, great hosts, the fishing is fantastic and the facilities are first class. Perfect river access for boats and very quiet. A hidden gem not to be missed.

Amazing caravan park set on the banks of the Blackwood River and amongst mature trees on mostly grass sites. You’ll be surrounded by bird life and kangaroos all day. We spent our days fishing off the pier, walking and exploring nearby Augusta. We lit a fire in the evening and the camping holiday was complete.

Even in winter with puddles underfoot it’s a tranquil place to stay. Lovely managers and staff.

Stayed for 3 nights, right on the river front, great ramp for ski and fishing boats. We had our kayak and paddleboard to explore the river. Nice big sites, friendly staff, will be back. Roos and plenty of birds about.
